1 year Blogaversary! Yahoo!

One year ago March 7, I made the decision to dive into the blog world. With the help of a couple of family members I chose a name, and sitting on the veranda of our Ocho Rios cottage I created the web site. Trust that the "Sew whats cooking with Joan" website has changed dramatically, since that day. But, my goal to learn about the building of a website and implementing it, stimulating my brain and getting whats in that brain out to you has been successful. Believe it or not, my memory has improved and I am thoroughly enjoying writing the blog. Photography was never of interest to me, however, once I started taking the pictures of food, I became interested in improving the photography of that food. Wee Bear bought me a new camera and I played with settings, and also took some classes from a producer while on board a cruise ship.

My first post on March 7, 2012

How to fix your heels!

A useful post....yes, but, I found it on the internet and posted, so I could learn the process of posting. One paragraph and a link, that's it!

I had no tabs and very few of my own photo's the first month. But, we grew! On our first month blogaversary we had over 1500 viewer's and  Wee Bear bought me a new camera. I was diving into photography blind!

Sweet One...........Amy, joined "Sew whats cooking with Joan" with her first solo blog, on June 1, 2012. She and TT were visiting us in Scottsdale, she made "Butterfly Cupcakes" for a casual dinner party we were having. Butterfly Cupcakes

Tink.....Holly, my daughter, did not physically write a blog, but allowed me to feature her famous Chocolate Chip Cookies on August 1, 2012Tink's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Sarah, my daughter-in-law gave me several gifts for Christmas, but my favorite was the recipe she sent me for her Pulled Pork Bruschetta or sliders!

Laura, my step daughter, also sent me recipes for Christmas to be featured on the blog. I had always wondered about the Stuffed cheesy shells!   that Laura's Mom made, and now I have the recipe mmmmm so yummy and perfect for a cold Winter evening by the fire!
