Teriyaki Mushrooms

This is the perfect accompaniment for your steak or mushroom burger! Add chicken for a stir fry one pot meal. Very quick to make and flavor packed!

Teriyaki Mushrooms

3 T olive oil
3 T unsalted butter
1 lb. mixed mushrooms (button, shitake, oyster, crimini or chantrelles)
1 Shallot chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 T. Red cooking wine
1 T. Teriyaki sauce (or more to your taste)
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Pepper to taste

Heat the olive oil and unsalted butter over medium high heat. Saute the mushrooms, shallot, garlic, Red Wine vinegar, Teriyaki sauce and garlic salt until the mushrooms are golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer 5-6 minutes longer. Pepper to taste.

*Option- Finish with chopped parsley

Enjoying a delicious special wine with friends and family in Napa. Taken in St. Helena at Harvest Table, a Charlie Palmer restaurant. It was a delicious dinner, I recommend this restaurant. We do a private tour of Cakebread today!
