Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sproats

The Super Bowl may technically be an NFL game, but we all know what we're really looking forward to when Sunday rolls around—the snacks. Some of our personal favorites include classics like Cinnamon Fireball Wings, a fun recipe using Cinnamon Fireball whiskey! Add a few shots to match!  A long time favorite is Spicy Stuffed Mushrooms that my daughter Holly created ....yum! I love making these quick and easy Pepperoni Pin Wheels, a fun presentation and so delicious!  Pepper Poppers filled with delicious Feta and Pepperjack cheeses are always a hit too! But if you want to branch out a little bit, I have also a few healthy-ish recipes also included a few healthy-ish recipes, Buffalo Cauliflower BitesRoasted Thyme Tomato Bruschetta, Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings and this delicious appetizer Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts!—even if your team doesn't win, at least you'll have a winning menu.

Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

24 Brussel Sprouts cleaned and trimmed
12 slices of  Bacon
1/4 cup of pure Maple Syrup

Preheat oven to 400F degrees

Season the Brussel's adding olive oil to a plastic bag or bowl with salt and pepper.

Cut the bacon strips in half.

Brush each strip of bacon with Maple Syrup.

Wrap it all up! A half strip of bacon around each Sprout.

Place the wrapped brussel's on a silpat lined baking sheet or line with foil or parchment paper.

Bake for a total of 20 minutes, turning the brussels over halfway through the time.

The Super Bowl, for some people, is about sports. But for the rest of us, it's about the excellent snacking opportunities, and a core category is Super Bowl dips. There's nothing wrong with opening a jar, but once you realize the vast array of dips you can make yourself, including Blue Cheese Dip, Artichoke and Brie Dip, Jerk Dip (from one of my very first posts 3/12, OMgosh, I've been blogging for 10 years!!),
Chili Cheese Dip and Queso Fundido,

No matter which teams are playing or which artists appear at the halftime show, we'd argue that the biggest star of the Big Game is the appetizers. Every Super Bowl party is an opportunity to make a full meal out of little bites!

We have made it to our cottage in Ocho Rios and have started the wind down process! It took a little stress, two cancelled flights, two COVID tests and a lot of patience...but worth it! We are nestled in and starting to relax!
Chef Maurice will be planning and making our Superbowl feast over at the Inn. We haven't decided whether to join in with guests or have our feast delivered to our cottage....but, I know our feast will have chicken wings, as I have already put in the request! And if we stay in, I brought the makings for my delicious Blue Cheese Dip!
