I decided on a individual appetizer plate for each guest for a dinner party I had last weekend. We watched the play off game with our appetizer plates, then moved to the dining room for dinner. I prepared Beef Bourguignon for the main with creamy mashed potatoes, crusty sour dough bread and a side salad. My guests raved about the entire meal!
Sausage and Cheddar Meatball Appetizer
1/2 lb sage or regular pork sausage
1/2 lb hot pork sausage
6 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3/4 cup Bisquick
1/3 cup shallots, chopped finely (can use a mild onion)
1 T. parsley, chopped finely
olive oil
Preheat oven to 375 F degrees
Use a silpat, or parchment paper or line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with oil.
In a medium bowl, put the sausages, cheddar cheese, Bisquick, shallots and parsley.
Mix together thoroughly. (I used my hands)
Using a tablespoon form balls and placed on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Internal temperature should be 160 F.
Serve with delicious Blue Cheese Dip
I served with carrots, red pepper, celery sticks. I also included Buffalo Cauliflower and Bacon wrapped Brussel Sprouts. I will be posting these recipes this week!
